Much like the knight in chess, known for its bravery, chivalry, and selfless dedication to supporting and carrying others along the journey, we at HiRoad Ranch strive to embody these qualities in our mission.

MISSION
Our focus is on fostering connections with nature, animals and fellow participants to promote physical, emotional and mental well-being through equine therapy, veterans support, children’s camps, hunting and fishing experiences, farm life, immersion, and community engagement, we aim to create a haven of healing and rejuvenation for all who seek refuge at our ranch.
STORY
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our foundation lies in providing core programs such as engaging kids in enriching summer camps, offering equine therapy for the community, veteran services, and conducting corporate team-building seminars that instill leadership qualities through interactions with horses for not only the Sioux Falls community but the entire state of South Dakota and beyond.
In addition, we are proud to open our public facility to the community, providing a space for various programs, events, and gatherings. This versatile space can be rented out for workshops, gatherings, and community events, further enriching the lives of individuals in our community.
Preserving the traditions of our ancestors, HiRoad Ranch is working on a project that gives people the experience of being part of a cattle branding done the original way, using horses and roping techniques instead of modern vehicles like ATVs. This project aims to connect individuals with the rich history of our state, South Dakota, and the ways in which our forefathers worked the land and cared for animals, honoring their heritage and legacy.
Our vision extends to future programs that highlight the values of caring for animals and the land, including activities such as farming, gardening, and sustainability practices. We seek to continue the legacy of our predecessors by promoting a deep connection with the natural world and the heritage of South Dakota.
